Who are Your People?

That's plain enough, isn't it? You're no longer wandering exiles. This kingdom of faith is now your home country. You're no longer stangers or outsiders. You belong here, with as much right to the name Christian as anyone. God is building a home. He's using us all--irrespective of how we got here--in what He is building.

Ephesians 2:19

Have you ever wandered around in familiar places wondering if you belong? Or have you ever believed you belonged, only to find out you really didn't? Do you have times that you live like an exile, afraid to claim the land that is yours?

I have felt all these ways at different times in my life. I have longed to belong, not understanding that I already carried the title of belonging because Jesus gave it to me. I have had times that I was so caught up in the road behind me that I couldn't see the beauty God was building inside of me.

I recently read that someone needs to belong before they can become. God created us to belong to Him and to each other. If we have  walls of fear, resentment, bitterness, and insecurities built around us, we may not feel as if we really belong anywhere.  But Jesus, wants to chase after every wall that we have constructed and bring us into a life of faith and Kingdom culture. He wants to wrap you within His heart of belonging, so that you know without a doubt who you are. When you know that you belong to Him and His people, you are effective in His work to partner with Him in Kingdom love.

You belong.

Are you a Winner?

No more building a house that some outsider takes over, No more planting fields that some enemy confiscates, for my people will be as long-lived as trees, my chosen ones will have satisfation in their work.

Isaiah 65:22

We play a lot of games at our house, and I like it when I win. I like being a winner of course, but winning at game playing does not determine winning at life. What makes a winner? I recently heard this quote from Kris Valloten, "Winning is being faithful to who God calls you to be." Ah, but how does one be faithful to their calling? How does one even know what their calling is?

When you know and believe you are CHOSEN by God, you then know who God has created you to be. When you know you are His child, loved, liked, and wanted by Him, then you learn what He is calling you to. When you understand the depths of who you are in Him, then the enemy can no longer overtake who you are. The lies the enemy feeds you are recognized and replaced with truth. Your life is filled with satisfaction and peace in the presence of Him. Winners don't have to be the best, the fastest, or wear gold medals. Winners run the race of life with God in the lead, and know with confidence that the enemy cannot steal who they are.

He loves you and He wants you. You, my friend are a winner!

You Are Invited

Everything that goes into a life of pleasing God has been miraculously given to us by getting to know, personally and intimately, the One who invited us to God. The best invitation we ever received!

2 Peter 1:3

God wants to know you, He has invited you into relationship with Him. Not only that, but He is inviting you to intimately know Him. That means He wants you to know His thoughts, plans, joys, and sadness. He wants you to recognize Him so well, that you are completely comfortable with Him day in and day out. He wants You!  I've been thinking about this a lot the last few weeks and asking myself if I believe His invitation even when I feel overwhelmed with hard stuff. Do I know Him well enough to confide in Him my disappointment, my anger, and my dreams? And, then when I do confide all that, do I believe I am still invited, or rejected? What about you, what do you believe about the invitation?

There is a real battle, usually in ones mind, that strives to convince us that the invitation is conditional. The lies can swarm through my mind and I can begin to question the invitation of His heart to my heart. Those are rough times, because it feels like I've put myself back on the tight rope across the Grand Canyon. God will continually remind me that I don't have to be there, I simply have to hold on to the invitation that does not expire.

He has invited you too, and so do I! Will you join me in accepting the beautiful invite to the heart of God?

Will You Use the Keys?

God's various gifts are handed out everywhere; but they all originate in God's Spirit. God's various ministries are carried out everywhere;but they all originate in God's Spirit. Gods various expressions of power are in action everywhere; but God himself is behind it all. Each person is given something to do that shows who God is: everyone gets in on it, everyone benefits. All kinds of things are handed out by the Spirit, and to all kinds of people!

1 Corinthians 12:4-8

God has given us Kingdom Keys, what are they? And, will you use them? Kingdom Keys are principles of God that can be integrated into your life.

Jesus said that He would give us the Keys of the Kingdom. The keys are not the way to the Kingdom, only Jesus represents that. The Keys of the Kingdom destroy the works of the evil one: Power and Authority are these keys. Jesus used these keys all the time by healing the sick, performing miracles, and taking complete authority over the enemy. As believers in Jesus we have the power and authority over the enemy.

Where are the Keys of power and authority found?

1-Words of Knowledge

2-Word of wisdom

4-Discerning of Spirits

5-Gifts of Healing

6-Gifts of miracles

7-Gift of Faith

8-Gift of Tongues

9-Gift of interpretation

These gifts destroy evil, and unlock bondage. The more we use these keys, God's power and authority intensifies in our lives. Everytime you pray, serve, love, hope, have faith, and speak life over another person, you are using the Keys of the Kingdom. Will you take them today and operate the Kingdom here on earth? God's divine power has given us everything we need for life and Godliness. We get to participate in the nature of God each time we grasp the keys, for they are part of God's divine nature. When you learn Who Jesus is, you are given the keys to destroy the work of the enemy. Jesus does not leave you empty handed, but has equipped you with all that you need to step out of bondage, and to walk beside others in their stories.

Let today be the day that you use Kingdom Keys to unlock chains and destroy evil.
