He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
Romans 4: 20-21
My favorite part of this verse is "fully convinced", there was no doubt that God would do what He promised to do. It leads me to this question for us today, are we fully convinced that God will keep the promises He has made? Or, is there a seed of doubt mixed in? God has made some personal promises to me, and there are days I am filled with doubt. As I talk to Him about the doubt, He will always remind me that He is the God that keeps His Word. Still, there can sometimes be a little bit that wonders. Do you deal with this too?
Are you fully convinced that God will pull all things together for good? Are you fully convinced that God will work through you, even when you don't feel it? Are you fully convinced that you are saved? Are you fully convinced that He will provide all that you need? Are you fully convinced that His Word is for you, and His grace is abundant? Are you fully convinced that He has a purpose for you and has designed you according to that purpose? Are you fully convinced that you are His child, and He loves you beyond measure?
Today, this is my continual prayer: Father, create an attitude of Fully Convinced in all Your promises.
