If your heart is broken, you'll find GOD right there; if you're kicked in the gut, he'll help you catch your breath.
Have you had your heart broken? Have you felt sad or disappointed? Have you just had those days that have not worked out very well, or times of confusion? Do you feel challenged at times with relationships, or co-workers? Or, grieving the loss of someone dear?
Jesus knows what it is like to have brokenness in your life. He sees the cracks in you, and He loves you as you are. He is there for you to bring light, rest, renewal, strength, and hope. He is there to listen to the pain that has caused your brokenness. He is there to create beauty through it all.
I have experienced a lot of brokenness in my life. Major cracks! He has caught me every time. He has enabled me to breathe through all the pain, and work my way into the blossoms. I have felt sadness, betrayal, loss, disappointment, grief, confusion, despair, and so much more. Yet the love of Jesus stayed the same through my struggles. His steady presence, even if I did not sense it, was still there. And, His promise of renewal ever present.
There is beauty in the brokenness, for without it we would not have a story to tell. Without the cracks, there would not be a place for the blossoms to grow. There would not be room for light and color to show through in our lives and to dance around the lives of others. Brokenness is the road to renewal in others, intimacy with Jesus, surrender in the God that is holy, and hope in beauty.
